Drink And Be Merry: Recipe For Festive Hot Chocolate Pops

Baking is not one of my strengths. BUT I recently attended a Wine & Sweets Holiday Swap and needed to bring something homemade. (OKAY FINE YES I WAS SUPPOSED TO BRING COOKIES but figured it was best for everyone if I left the oven out of this.) I’m a big hot chocolate gal and these hot cocoa pops were perfect! This is the first time I’ve ever typed out a recipe so God bless us all and I hope you like them!

〰️preparation

  1. Melt the milk chocolate and bittersweet chocolate in the microwave. Heat in 30-second increments so you don’t burn it (learned that from experience...) and mix at each interval until chocolately smooth.

  2. Grease ice cube tray (silicone works best apparently? lmk) or cupcake tray and fill with chocolate.

  3. Add sprinkles, crushed candy canes, mini mallows, drizzle white chocolate if you want, just really go to town with some festive toppings here.

  4. Place in fridge for 15 minutes.

  5. Remove and place popsicle stick in center.

  6. Place back in fridge for 1 hour.

〰️TO SERVE

  1. Heat milk or water

  2. Swirl until melted

  3. Add spirit if you want (i.e. peppermint vodka, etc.)

  4. Drink & be merry!

〰️to gift

Print the little tags below and tie them to the pops with festive ribbon. You can also tie a nip to the pops. (I recommend peppermint schnapps, whipped cream vodka, or marshmallow vodka.)
