YUMMMMMMMMM 🤤

So, here you go… An a-maize-ingly easy 3 ingredient chocolate M&M popcorn recipe! 🍿🍫

✨ Chocolate Drizzled Popcorn with m&m’s✨

Prep/cook time: 10 min | Freeze time: 10 min | Ready in: 20 min

INGREDIENTS

This recipe is easy to customize by using different types of popcorn, chocolate, or toppings. Get creative and have fun with it!

To make chocolate drizzled popcorn, you really only need three ingredients.

  • Popcorn (>> your preferred popcorn of choice*)

  • 12 oz bag of chocolate chips (>> whatever sweetness you like)

  • M&M's (>> regular size or mini)

*Here’s a kernel of wisdom: I used Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt popcorn for mine because this recipe is an EASY recipe. So, I started with already made popcorn in a bag — it doesn’t get much easier than that! But, you can use whatever popcorn you like. You can make stovetop popcorn, movie theater style popcorn with extra butter, kettle corn, etc. I also saw that a few people recommended a popcorn with more butter/salt so that you can really taste the popcorn against the delicious chocolate.

DIRECTIONS

  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper (>> you may need 2 baking sheets, depending on how much popcorn you’re making)

  • Spread your popcorn in a single layer on the parchment paper — you want the popcorn to be close enough together so that when you drizzle the chocolate, it will stick the single pieces of popcorn together (>> if you're using microwave popcorn, be sure to remove any unpopped kernels)

  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl — heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until fully melted (>> or, if you’re a big fan of fondue like me, you can melt your chocolate in a fondue pot!)

  • Use a spoon or a fork to drizzle the chocolate in a zig-zag pattern over the popcorn

  • Sprinkle M&M's over the popcorn while the chocolate is still warm, this will help the M&M's stick to the popcorn

  • Place the baking tray in the freezer for 10 minutes (>> check to see if the chocolate has hardened, if not, put it back in for another 5 minutes)

  • Break the popcorn pieces apart into bite-sized chunks (>> you do not need to separate every single piece of popcorn — in fact, it’s easier to eat if there are a few pieces stuck together)

Give it a taste! If you want more chocolate, flip it over and repeat on the other side. If you want more saltiness, sprinkle sea salt over the popcorn. If it’s perfect… well, then great job!

And that’s it! A super simple recipe that everyone will want to pop over for!

Enjoy your delicious chocolate drizzled popcorn!

XOXO, Haylie
